Dive Boats

Halftime

Captain Ralph Towlen
Oakland Restaurant & Marina, 365 Dune Rd., Hampton Bays, NY, 11946
A 3-Pack boat visiting wrecks as shallow as 55′ to a depth of 195′. Rebreather friendly.

Tempest

Captain Tom McCarthy
Aquamarine Marina, 55 Hudson Ave, Freeport, NY, 11520
M/V Tempest is not the typical commercial fishing vessel and was built with many of the comforts of a pleasure boat. Amenities such as air conditioning, heat, private full shower and head, dinette with wrap around seating, full galley, and much more provide for a more enjoyable time during those pesky surface intervals we all must endure. She was chosen specifically with extended overnight dive expeditions in mind.

Sea Hawk

Captain Frank Persico and Captain Ned Witkin
Vidas Marina, 578 Guy Lombardo Ave, Freeport, NY, 11520
The Sea Hawk will be docked at and leave from the Manhasset Bay Marina in Port Washington, New York during the winter months for bottle diving on the North Shore.

Sea Turtle

Captain Chuck Wade
352 West Lake Drive, Montauk, NY, 11954
The Sea Turtle is a 36′ BHM downeast style boat. She is powered by a single 430 horsepower volvo-penta diesel engine, allowing a 17-18 knot cruising speed. Built and used originally for lobstering on the Long Island sound. Capt. Wade purchased and customized the boat for wreck and shark cage diving.

Sidekick

Captain Neal Stark
Ponquogue Marina, 86 Foster Ave, Hampton Bays, NY, 11946
The trips will be aboard a 28′ Pilot house which has been outfitted for divers. On one day of each weekend we will focus primarily on the close sites, such as the Shinnecock Reef, which is only 2 miles out of the inlet and holds two popular wrecks, the Mandy Ray and Flat Top. Weekday trips will include longer boat rides to more diverse sites.

Wreck Valley Charter Boat

Captain Dan Berg
2745 Cheshire Dr., Baldwin, NY, 11510
The R/V Wreck Valley is a custom built 40′ Young Brothers. She has over 16′ of deck space, a 9′ cabin , enclosed head, heat, and 3 bunks. The Wreck Valley is powered by a single 6-71 TI Detroit Diesel and cruises at 20 knots! Her speed and excellent sea keeping abilities make her one of the most comfortable 6-pack vessels in the area. Running out of New York’s Jones Inlet on the south shore of Long Island, we can choose from hundreds of shipwreck destinations.
